Just upgraded, I am good at hardware swaps, wondering if something is wrong with cpu?

here is kernel panic... I still have in 1066 memory but was told it should still run fine?

Memory or system board. Pagefault at the CPU level is the panic. Definitely not reading all the RAM sticks. All your memory riser LED's green?

Boot DVD with techtool/memtest would be my next approach from a diagnostics standpoint. Is this new memory with the CPU swap? Try taking it down to minimum sticks in the risers is another check.

These are machine check exceptions, but unfortunately I don't know how to read them.

IA32_MC#_STATUS are status registers and the value is a error/return code.

This is the really interesting bit (MCA = Machine Check Architecture)

This is the log from an old thread on this forum and the issue was fixed by replacing the RAM. I've had no luck in trying to decipher your error codes

Cant even boot to dvd freezes at apple logo

Wont even let me boot to dvd, freezes at apple logo, tried two sets of memory put in second set and it just freezes and apple logo and doesn't even give a kernel panic.

w3690 3.47mhz es chip first faB, I put my old 2.8 quad back in and all works fine?

Could it have something to do with it being an ES chip?
