iPod touch Help please with Ipod Touch and Email

Hello
I am considering to buy an Ipod touch to use as a mp3 and pda. Can anybody tell me if it will sync emails stored on my macbook or will it simply download the emails via wifi?

It will download e-mails over wifi, but you can read already-downloaded messages when not in a WiFi area. I suppose if you really wanted to have all your email with you at all times, you could just keep hitting "Load more messages" while in a WiFi area.

Your e-mail is actually stored in your hard drive? Can't you just sign up your e-mail account on the iPod? That way you don't have to sync the e-mails. I can't imagine why you would do that.
