Do a search in Spotlight (the top right icon) for Spy or SpyAlert and drag all associated files to the trash. Then check your Login Items in System Preferences (under the Accounts pane) as well as the StartupItems folder on your System Library for dodgy looking items that might relate to this alert. :)

The easiest way to find files associated with a program is by typing the program name into spotlight (upper right corner). Software can install extra files in any number of places (like windows) So a program could create a folder in you documents folder, put a preference in usr/yourname/library/ or in Mac HD/Library or even in the system library.

This will get rid of the pref file that causes that pop-up. Most likely the file will be in you home folders library.

Also, if you place you problem in the topic more people might be able to find it and responded.

If it's not in your StartupItems folders (there's one in the Library and one in the System Library), then it really shouldn't be coming up. Are you sure you've checked both of these folders? :)

Okay, sorry mate, I didn't think I was getting through. If you create a new user account in System Preferences, does the dialogue box pop up when you log into that new account too?

If you run the installer again, doesn't it have an uninstall option?
