i have an i mac osx, 41/2 yrs old. i've had no problems with it until lately. when i start it, the screen flickers somewhat and the colors take on a yellow tint. the blues turn green, red is orange etc. should i make funeral arrangements for this unit? or is there a fix? thanks, jim

The problem is unlikely to be in the OS. What type of machine do you have?

product description,i mac 600mhz snow 128 mb/40gb/cd/56k. does this help?

ok, i did the hardware test. no hardware problem detected. by the way, it was updated with tiger 10.4.3 over a year ago. what is firmware?

well, just as i was going to do software update, the yellow tint disappeared and my colors are normal again. i'm going to shut this unit down and hope the problem is over. [doubt it] if anyone has any other ideas let me know. thanks everyone, jim i'll be back.
