help please

i have a iphone 3g 16gb it has beem jail broken and unlocked i am running a orange simm in it have a small issue hoping someone can help me out with

the pohone is on has good signal , can recive txts make calls but on a couple of occasions i can not recive calls it goes straight to answer phone

any one else had this trouble or does anyone no how to fix it

First of all: avoid generic thread titles.

Second: are you using the Internet when this happens? If you are in an area without 3G data, the phone cannot receive calls when it has an open data connection. This is because 2G data uses the same channels used for phone calls.

no not useing the internet 3g turned off

the phone can just be at the side of me and it dont take incoming calls goes straight to answerphone

Do you have it set to check your email automatically? That also uses a data connection.

Alternatively, if you are in a marginal signal , is possible that if your iPhone is in your pocket or something it may no longer have a signal.

no it only checks email when i ask it to

have noticed the signal can be half or full
