I just opened a 17" Powerbook G4 1.5GHz to replace the ODD with a second hard drive (kit from NewmodeUS). The replacement itself went well, however, now the Powerbook won't turn on. I haven't assembled all the screw yet though. Do I need to do that? The memory and battery is in place.

I see that the power button is connected to the trackpad connector (underneath memory slot #1) that I had to remove before removing the top lid. Could it have anything to do with the problem? It's back in place though but could it have been damaged? It was a bit tricky to get the connector back through the memory hole before putting the top id in place.

Does anyone have a clue what is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have now put back the original ODD, but it still won't start.
