HELP! Powerbook won't turn on after upgrade

I've upgraded my HD two days ago. Today my PB suddenly turned off and won't turn back on. All the connectors are in the right places and nothing looks wrong inside. I have no idea what's happened.

Can you boot from the optical drive? Do you have an external Firewire drive you can try booting from? Do you have another Mac available?

I have another mac. A G3 iMac. The thing doesn't turn on so firewire external drives and cds are pointless.

Are you talking about the PowerBook or the iMac G3 not turning on? Does the PowerBook respond to anything at all?
