I'm having problems with getting my Samsung SCX-4500 printer to communicate with my Macbook (OSX, 10.4). I get a message saying that it could be either a bad connection or that I may need to change the printer settings. What fixes the problem temporarily is when I "repair permissions" under disk utility. However, if I restart the computer or don't print for a while, I have to repair the permissions again in order to make it work. Any idea on how to permanently fix the problem?? Thanks!

Have you tried turning off the printer? Is it always connected to the computer as you said that you are using a MacBook? If so, have you tried rebooting?
