I've been having trouble playing video clips converted from Flash to MP4 on the latest update of Quicktime. Nothing worked, so I tried to downgrade to the previous version. I did the following:

1. Downloaded QuickTime731_Tiger.dmg from Apple.
2. Tried to install, but it said there was a newer version on my computer and would not proceed.
3. I deleted Quicktime from my Applications folder and emptied the trash
4. I tried to install the QuickTime731_Tiger.dmg again - same message.
5. Now with no Quicktime player, I tried to find one on Apple.com - only updates.
6. Tried to install Quicktime from my OSX install disc - not an option.
7. Now, I have no Quicktime and fear I really screwed myself.

Can anyone help? I just want to go back to the latest version of Quicktime that is not 7.4 so all my files will play like they used to. HELP!!!!

Thanks,
Michael
