Hi all, can anyone recommend me a good (pref. free, but happy to pay) app that can help me layout my new warehouse, mostly a 2D will do. I would like to place machines and basic office layout within the app which has to be to scale.

I use OmniGraffle as well for simple layouts, and that app has a template repository online along with several "fan" sites with even more shared templates.
I'm a civil engineer by trade, and for my personal 2D layout work I use the free and *very* powerful DraftSight by Dassault Systemes - they cover all 3 major OSes, and it's regularly updated. I haven't tried it on Sierra, which isn't certified yet for any of my CAD apps (not unusual for OS versions that aren't mature) but it works perfectly on El Capitan, so I don't see any reason for DS to not work with Sierra. http://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight-cad-software/latest-version/
Yes, it will work at scale, that is the major reason I use it. You can set the width of walls, buffer space etc . . . Bit of a learning curve but once you get past that it is very powerful and flexible. One of the nice things about is that it can so much more then floor plans, you can do org charts, network maps and many other things.
