Hi!

I have a new mbp and after a few months of confirming i didnt need anything from my old mbp i formatted only to find out today (just my luck) thats the sticky notes i had in dashboard contained info i need! is there anyway to restore this? i have timemachine backups of my old mac but the physical old mbp is gone!! HELP!😕

On your Time Machine drive, find /harddrivename/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences, and copy widget-com.apple.widget.stickies.plist to the same location on your new computer drive. You'll probably have to log out and back in to update the stickies.

Hi there! i tried this and logged out but it doesnt seem to have worked 😕 i can quickview it and read some of the txt but unfortunatly the notes have not been restored 🙁

Try copying com.apple.dashboard.plist as well. (Note: This will/should reset your Dashboard to how it appeared on your other computer.)
