I overwrote some files, now trying to restore from TimeMachine (Mac Pro, Lion ). In TM from a few days ago, I can see all my files. But when I click Restore, it seems to revert to the current state and doesn't actually restore the files.

Could really use some help ! will keep trying and will report if I figure something out.

UPDATE: I was hoping to be able to Restore the entire system from TimeMachine but apparently there are not full backups from the time I needed them, so it appears I have to specify folders and restore those.

not sure where the Mac stores all my Outlook(for Mac) personal folders, but hopefully I can get them restored
