Hello everyone,

I've needed to replace my iPhone under warranty, but before I ship it back, I feel obligated to restore it to original iOS to prevent any hassles.

The problem I'm running into is after clicking Restore in iTunes, I get stuck at the first screen where it says "Contacting the iPhone software update server..."

It just hangs there for too long, and nothing happens.

iTunes- latest version 11.1.4.62
iPhone 4 running iOS 7.0.4

Any help or suggestions?
Really appreciate it, thank you very much in advance!

I ended up using a friends laptop and it instantly processed.

So in case anyone experiences something similar, just try that and hope for the best.
