One Endless Loop
When I right click on an image on the desktop lets say and it pops up with the programs I have to choose from to open it with it shows 2 of each program. Like this

Adobe Photoshop 7
Adobe Photoshp 7
Adobe ImageReady 3
Adobe ImageReady 3
GraphicConverter
GraphicConverter

And so on and so fourth. Why is this happening? How can I fix this? Thanks.

AFAIK, the context menu keeps track of all apps available at the time - I see this behaviour when my backup (cloned) drive is plugged in.

Search for an application, any application, and see where the two duplicate folders reside. Throw one away.

I don't think that is it. There are 2 of every choice. Even safari and no duplicate folders. What folder holds the list in? Maybe there are 2 of each in the list or maybe there are 2 folders that contain the list you know what I mean?

Didja search first? I've answered this question a couple times now.

Remove /Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.6B.csstore
Restart

Poof, fixed.
