I have a Droid X right now and I'm eligible for an upgrade with Verizon. I've always wanted an iPhone but was obviously waiting for the iPhone 5. Should I get the 4S or wait anywhere from 12-16 months for an iPhone 5? Opinions?

Thanks.

If your Droid X is struggling and you have the available upgrade just go with the 4S. But it also depends on what matters to you for the phone. If you care about a bigger screen and 4G then wait. I personally accepted the life cycle of upgrading every 2 years on the S cycle.

Usually, threads like this, the OP has already made a decision and is seeking the council of others to validate it.

I say go for it. It's what you want.

Still Undecided at this point but leaning towards getting the 4S.

Thanks for the opinions everyone.

I have the original Droid. I like the 4, don't care much about a larger screen, like iOS 5, and am intrigued by Siri.

I'm doing it. You're not THAT far ahead of me, sounds like it'd be a substantial upgrade for you as well.

Yes. You're in the boat I'm in so why not just buy one? Does the 4s not do anything for you? To me, it'll be nice to have a pocketable phone again.
