-OR- you can actually read this thread before posting to it. :p

Although Skitch is still in a limited beta by invitation only it is an EXCELLENT solution for drawing/painting/photo-resizing/sending/receiving photos and pictures (which is what the OP was looking for and what this thread is about).

Put in your e-mail address at http://plasq.com/skitch and give it a try. You might wait a week or two but I think you'll be glad you did especially if you have an Intel Mac.

When it's officially released this program is going to be a huge hit.
I'm glad the original poster found what he needed in Skitch, but I wouldn't recommend it for even basic editing. (I'd go with Seashore for the most simple of tasks.) In under a minute I find Skitch lacks free rotate, resize is too rudimentary except for the most basic of needs, and it doesn't support editing of its vector graphics.

There's a lot of freeware image editing apps for the Mac, many of which can be found on Versiontracker.com.

GIMP is great but I would also give ChocoFlop a look:

Go back to windows. We don't want you.

Please dont troll!

There are many different image editing apps for OS X, if you cant find one that fits your needs then go back to windows if you want.

However I think your problem is that you dont want to learn anything else, and you want a clone of the app on windows you used before!

With the vast variety of apps mentioned in this thread, I find it very hard to believe you cant find one that suits your needs!

You need to understand I didn't want to master photo editing, or HD drawing - none of that. I have no problem learning new things - but seriously, I'm sick of wasting my functional memory on @($& software. Let alone the time factor. There is a finite amount of room in your head, and I'd like to save it for things in life that matter.

Anyhow - I found something that works already - so I'm all set.
