help?! syncing 2G iphone with iTunes

so sometime over the past four or five hours my iphone has decided that it doesn't want to sync with itunes anymore. 🙁 i've tried two different connection cords plugged into my iMac... iTunes didn't recognize my iphone. i tried plugging it into my macbook, itunes didn't recognize my iphone 🙁

my iphone is a jailbroken 2G iphone on Tmobile. only thing different is this afternoon i activated my Total Internet Package.

i'm clueless as to why this is happening?! can someone help? please?

Does the computer not see the phone, or just iTunes?

Did you try a hard reset? Hold home and power, ignore the slider, when the apple comes up let go.

tried that... it didn't work. i got it to show up on my macbook just a minute ago... so i unplugged it and plugged it into my iMac... nothing. so i tried that hard reset that you suggested... but that didn't work either. 🙁 my iPhone has the little charging thingy saying that it's charging... it's just not getting recognized by iTunes or syncing!! 🙁

it even makes the little noise that it always makes whenever it's plugged in.... grrrrrr why is this happening?!

it will sync on the macbook, but not on my iMac. so maybe it's something wrong with my iTunes on my iMac.

Any suggestions...?

Yeah, mine stopped syncing yesterday! Mine is not jailbroken, but it will start to say "syncing" and then just stop. Any ideas?

so i uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it... still not working. my boyfriend's iphone will show up in itunes on my imac, but not mine... and my iphone will show up on his mackbook... but not my imac. does anyone know why this would be happening?
