Is there a windows software that will allow me to sync my ios calendar to my desktop? (I don't use outlook on my pc). Perhaps on a google calendar or other software.

    Thanks

    Edit: see my post below...

If your using icloud, you can just go to icloud.com to edit your calendar on any internet connected PC.

I finally gave up on using the Google calendar after iCloud was launched and my ENTIRE Google calendar totally vanished. Since I had to rebuild the calendar anyway at that point, I decided to use the iCloud calendar since I operate with the iPhone/iPad/MBP trio. Haven't been sorry - it was worth the effort. And, as another poster mentioned, you can access the iCloud calendar (contacts and email as well) from any computer - PC or Mac - via www.iCloud.com

I have to mention that switching from Gmail contacts to iCloud contacts also streamlined things. Prior to the switch, I had a total disaster in my contacts with old, duplicated and outdated data showing up.

Your iphone/ipad will be showing you both your ios calendar and your google calendar. Google will only be showing you the google calendar. Change the default calendar your idevice uses to your gmail account and any further events you create will then show on both your idevice and PC.

Settings - mail contacts and calendars - scroll down to default calendar

Thank you - that does solve the problem - Looks like I'll have to manually change all of my ios calendar events to the default calendar, as it's not syncing stuff I already have in there. But this is a good solution - thanks!

A quick tip - select the event you need to change on your ios device and you can just change the calendar it is stored to. Saves you having to recreate the entire event in the other calendar.
