Help, thinking about buy Mackie Universe controler

I have a PowerBook G4 1.33 and am thinking about getting
the Mackie Universe controler.

I bought 2 BCF2000 controlers but i find that i get errors
about CPU and USB usage.

do you think the mackie controler will be more of a drain on my mac?

What program are you running? protools, logic etc

If Pro Tools go with the command 8, way better integration.

i had two of those mackie controls in here (the old ones, not the new ones), and both showed up with broken faders. both went back and i've yet to "try again".

get the novation remote SL, they have one that is just the knobs and faders, as well as versions with 25, 40, and 67 keys.

i have the 25keys version, and its the best investment ive ever made as far as controllers go. its integration with protools is based on the mackie hui controller so it responds nicely
