I installed Tiger (clean install) on my G4 (350mhz PCI Powermac, 640mb ram, Radeon 7000 32mb) a few days ago, seemed a little slow, but otherwise fine. Now suddenly the Finder menu bar is slowly flashing on and off, the files that were on the Desktop are gone, and applications won't open, or open briefly and crash. I shut down and rebooted, but no change. Any suggestions?

Yes..please

This same thing happened to my dad's iMac G4...only it's running 10.3.9 and the same thing happened out of the blue.

I spoke to Apple tech support, and we checked disk repair, but no damage was found. Then, I re-installed Tiger. No change, the Finder menu bar is still flashing. Is my machine dead???

Wow I have never seen this one before. Might want to take it up to an Apple Store and let them see it. I wish I could be of more help.
