iPhone Help to Jailbreak Iphone 5 on 7.0.6

As we all are aware, 7.1 is coming soon and i eagerly want to jailbreak my iphone 5. Can someone please help me with step by step directions, with links to jailbreak my phone. I am using a macbook (10.6.8) and Itunes 11.1.5

Would really appreciate all the help.

Have tried all. But evasion doesn't open on macbook. Get some error message. I downloaded it and just double clicked - right?
 
tried all. again with holding the control button. this is what i get.

My macbook version is 10.6.8 n that seems to be the latest one. Had read it somewhere, it shld be above 10.6
 
Open the mac app store, and you might be able to download mavericks for free. The amount of people still on snow leopard when mavericks is free drives me nuts

Is there anyother way apart from upgrading to mavericks?? its taking way too long and my internet sucks.. just want to jailbreak my phone.. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Do you have a windows computer/laptop lying around? Or someone else's computer to borrow?
 
I have tried with window laptop and have succeeded a bit. I can open the evasion software and it detects my phone and i can start to jailbreak as well. But only after the 8th step where, I have to unlock my phone and select evasion icon - it just stops there..

do you have passcode or sim lock enabled

That's probably because you have a passcode set. Temporary disable before jail breaking.
 
I downloaded Evasion, went through the jailbreak process. Phone reboots after that I get a message saying modifying roofs or something near that and then it closes. It stops there, it doesn't say done. The evasion app is on my phone. I tried restarting and nothing change. The app is white and blank when I click it. What can be wrong. I've tried doing it three times.:mad::mad:

this is why you should have waited and did this on your Mac. I would try it again from the beginning.
 
Did you update to 7.0.6 using OTA? Not sure why all the issues. It was a breeze for me. I would've suggested a factory restore but that would update you to 7.1. Yikes.

Mac is of no use. It doesnt even launch evasion. Atleast with windows i can see a ray of light. Now my aim in life is to have this **** jailbreaked!!

I got an update on phone asking to upgrade to 7.0.6 n went ahead with it. Yup cant even restore my phone. Apple should have waited till i get my phone jailbreaked..:D:D

Not to be rude but why jailbreak when you didn't bother reading brief instructions?

A few fair warnings on the official evasi0n reads:

- Warning! Over The Air updates of iOS 7 are known to create an issue and make the jailbreak fail. Some devices are then stuck on the Apple Boot Logo. Until we fix that, please restore your device to 7.0.x with iTunes first.

- If you get an error on OS X 10.8/10.9 saying that evasi0n can't be opened, control-click (or right-click) the app and on the revealed context menu, choose 'Open.' On the ensuing dialogue box, choose 'Open' as well.

Requirements - A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.7 minimum)
