im trying to transfer files between my 2 external hard drives and my macbook harddrive. This keeps coming up. the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "file name" could not be read or written. (error code -36).

never had this happen before. did the disk utility and all harddrives are working and need no repair. all of them are read/write.

help!

That means you have an I/O error. Most likely there is a loss in connection somewhere. Try copying locally first and then to the other external.

how do i fix it ? this never happened before. but before, both my externals were fast. i would click a song in my external and it would play instantly. now it takes forever. happened ever since i restored. any suggestions...

there's always delete everything from one (or copy it to the other)...and reformat it...then do the same to the other
