Hi Everyone,

Was having some trouble with my powermac g4 not booting into OSX so formatted the hard disks and re-installed it back to OS9.

Now I am trying to upgrade back to OSX and every time the system restarts and boots off the OSX CD or when I run the installation software the system comes up with a "please restart your computer message in multiple languages"

Then when i restart it comes up with the same message again.

Any ideas the system used to work in OSX fine?

Hi thanks for the reply, I've replaced the drive and it will still boot into OS9 but still has the same error when I try the OSX update.

From what i've got from google and other forums apparently it is a Kernel Error,
