HELP!!Trying to make decision to buy IPHone/Hack

Trying to decide whether or not to buy a 8GB IPhone that I could hack to use on the TMobile network, but I need some help. I have some questions...How can I unlock the phone? I know I have to run a hack program, but if I want to use on a TMobile network can I use an old TMobile phone SIM CARD? or will I have to find a new one that hasn't been used...also whats the cheapest way to go as far as plans/minutes/data plans/etc...any help would be awesome! Thanks

Once you unlock it you'd be able to use any simcard wether its old, used or new without a prob.
About the plans go to tmobile and pick whatever plan fits your needs.
The cheapest unlimited data plan available for tmobile I think is $9.99 a month but if you dont want to pay for data you can always block data from Tmobile and just use internet when near wifi instead.
 
Upgrade to 3.0 via iTunes and jailbreak your phone using Redsn0w. Then you can add the source in cydia: repo666.ultrasn0w.com and download ultrasn0w. That will unlock the phone.
