So here's the scenario: My mother-in-law has an iPad but doesn't sync it to a computer. We used my sister-in-laws computer to set it up and since then it hasn't really been synced.

My mother-in-law gave it to me to update to the latest iOS version so I need to figure out how to do that on my computer (iMac).

I backed it up and I have her iTunes password, but my concern are her photos. She has lots of photos on there that they transferred from her camera and other cameras using the Apple camera connection kit. I don't want to lose those photos and I don't think they are included in a backup.

Is there a way to make sure those photos get saved somewhere since updating to iOS 5.0.1 will remove everything from the iPad so I can put them back on?
