Hi All

I've done a few searches but can't find any help I really understand.

I am having some problems with my macbook pro (17 inch 2gb RAM, 2.6ghz Intel Core 2) and went to the genius bar and they told me to format my hard drive and do a fresh install of the OS. I have purchased Snow Leopard as this seems like the best time to upgrade (yes, I did this on the day Lion came out!)

Basically I am fine backing up everything but I also need to back up every email i've sent and received, my address book. Any idea on the simplest way to do this?

Thanks!

Backup your User/Home Directory (Macintosh HD / Users / YOU) via Time Machine or CarbonCopyCloner to an external HDD.

Btw, installing Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard via the 29 USD Upgrade DVD will not delete any of your data, as it is an Upgrade/Update. The same will be when you install Lion.
