Ok I need help. My MPB has 10.6.8 and I want to update it to the newest Mac OS X. Does any one know where I can find a easy to read step by step instruction to help me do this. Also doing this will it delete any of the files, movies,or music I already have on my computer. Is there anything i need to know before doing this that will help or tips? Thanks again for the help

Mike.

The process really is so easy that not much of a guide should be required. As long as your Mac can run Mountain Lion all you need to do is download it from the Mac App Store and let the installer do its job.

That said, make sure you have a backup in case something goes wrong (not likely, but better safe than sorry).

You're not going to lose any of your media or apps.
