Hey guys, I'm having a small problem uploading some footage. I just finished filming for my college application video. However, when I attempt to upload my 16:9 footage into final cut pro 6, it always gets squeezed into 4:3 format. How do I upload the footage I filmed in 16:9 into final cut pro and keep it in that format? I had it set like this before but cannot figure out how to do it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Change your easy setup to something with widescreen. For example, if you are using DV, you need to select DV Anamorphic (NTSC or PAL, whichever your camera uses) instead of the regular DV setting.

If you have already imported/captured the clips into FCP, scroll along the right in the Browser window until you see a column called Anamorphic. If you click in the respective row of the clip, you'll get a tick and that clip will be shown as 16:9.
