1. What was your motivation in becoming a member of a apple/mac community?

I was tired of Windows, and was interested in purchasing a mac, but I hadn't used one since grade school (an Apple IIe), so I wanted to do some research first and have some questions answered. I did eventually purchase an iBook.

2. What is your motivation in remaining an active member of the apple/mac community?

Macrumors was one of the first sites that I found when I was doing my research, and everyone was friendly and helpful, and I liked the discussions.

3. What Apple products do you own?

iPod mini (blue)
iBook G4

4. Which Apple products are you most interested in when participating in this community?

I honestly don't follow the product discussions that much, except when something new comes out, such as the iPhone. Most of the time, I am in the community forums.

5. Why did you choose to become a member of macrumors?

As I said above, it was one of the first sites I found when researching my macs, and I had to register in order to post questions, but I quickly found the place to be friendly and helpful, so I stayed.

6. Do you consider yourself to be an active member?

It depends. I post in fits and spurts. Some times I'll post several times a day, other times I'll go weeks without posting (though I still read the site everyday during these times).

7. Are you a member of any other virtual (online) apple/mac communities?

No. I checked out some other sites when I was researching my purchases, but I didn't care for them as much as macrumors.

That's all, thanks!
