Help using game pad with SNES9X

I bought this controller

and I am trying to use it with SNES9X--the program responds to the keyboard but not the game pad, I don't see where I can set it up....anyone have some ideas?

Press (Esc) whilst running the game to get to the menus, click on the config menu and choose controllers.

That is the set up screen for the controllers that it has recognised.

If it doesn't recognise your controller (unlikely) try using something like 'USB overdrive' to map your key-presses to the appropriate keys.

what version do you have? If you do not have 1.51 expect some possible problems!!
