Had a quick question.

I currently use two lines (Verizon for personal and ATT for business). I bought an iPhone XS on DPP with Verizon because I came across a good deal. Bought it with the intention to use it as my business line with ATT as I was under the assumption that VZ phones come all unlocked.
Lo and behold, when I got the phone and popped in the SIM card (6pm EST 3/7), (it hadn't been activated on VZ at that point), it came back with a SIM not supported email. After searching around, it seems as though this issue was talked about to death. Things such as 24 hour waiting period, etc etc.

I took out the SIM and put in my VZ and it activated fine. Made some calls, texts, everything went through. I took out my SIM and put back the Tmobile and again, unsupported message. I checked this morning as I read that VZ does batch unlocks every night and its 10:30am EST and still getting the unsupported message. I just left in the Tmo SIM and turned off the phone last night. I only put in my VZ SIM yesterday for about 5 minutes as I cannot go without a phone and don't want to use the iPhone on Verizon. I put it in long enough where I thought it had activated because it went to the home screen and I was able to make calls and texts.

My question: Do I need to have the actual VZ SIM card in for the full 24 hours? My 24 hours is technically at 6PM EST but that goes against what people said about batch unlocking overnight.

I really hope thats not the case...

Called Verizon and they said that policy is still 24 hours.

She said that all you had to do was make a test call or send a text to verify its been activated and then you'll be able to get it unlocked after 24 hours. She said you DID NOT need to have the VZ sim installed for the 24 hours.

I guess I'll just have to hope it gets unlocked at 6PM today.
