I'm not sure if this is in the right forum. I have a Powermac G5. I've had it since July 07. I have had no problems, haven't had any changes recently. Today my mail and Address book froze while I was entering contacts in the Address Book. It did a force quit and ALL of my contacts are gone! Not just the one I was trying to put in at that moment, but every contact.

I tried syncing it w/ Iphone and that just erased everything from my phone.
I've tried restarting.

Anything I can do???
😕

Still using Tiger (10.4)?

Quit Address Book. Look in ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/ (where ~/ is your home folder) and see if there's a AddressBook.data.previous file which you can duplicate and then rename to AddressBook.data (after removing/renaming/deleting that file). Start Address Book and see if anything is back.

I appreciate the response. I tried that. When I changed the name it opened an address book w/ only my contact info but nothing else.
