Everybody is praising haswell and that's fine.

I just hope the new rMBP will be better than the older one in all aspects... No more lagging, stuttering, bleeding, dead pixels, crackling, high temperatures,... No more worries and sleepless nights :)

Don't get a MBA if you truly want a rMBP. That's something I almost did, but it's best to wait for the Haswell rMBP or even buy now.

But is there a specific reason you want the rMBP? You didn't mention the Retina display or anything else, just the fact that it's only a couple hundred dollars more.

I didn't say they might not drop the price. I said they aren't going to price it like the MBA, it's going to cost more than the MBA. I think that's a very safe bet.

I agree.
But I think that would be kind of obvious since it got a better CPU as well as better screen. Let's hope the 13" retina can be configured with 16GB RAM, that way there are even more separation of MBA and rMBP.

It doesn't take that long for my rMBP to wake up unless it's in deep sleep. Haswell isn't going to change that. Unless you are using it to play games, the Intel 5000 improvement isn't going to mean much.

I don't see any way a simple processor change is going to almost double the battery life with a battery hungry retina display. This is just like all those who claimed for sure the Haswell rMBP was going to be announced at WWDC. That didn't happen either. It will get better but not that much better.

This is a bit late of a reply, but I have a MBA Haswell vs Ivy Bridge and I'm telling you, as weird as it sounds. Wake up is MUCH faster. Deep sleep or not. With the IVY, it wakes up but you can't do anything for a while. With HASWELL when it wakes up, shows the screen right away like IVY, but the difference is you can click and login, etc, right away instead of waiting for that 2-3 second delay.
