Guys, I'm going bonkers. What is the other damn word for [intellectual] information? I think it starts with pre.... The word I'm looking for designates information created in house and people are often sued over taking this kind of information to another company when they go to work there.

Anyone know what I'm thinking of? I'll give you a giant virtual hug if you know. I'm dying here because it's such a common word, especially in the tech biz and I can't think of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
