I have a 3Gs iPhone. I want to add some songs in my iTunes music library as ringtones to my iPhone. Any suggestions as to how to do this?

I have an iMac also. I've never used Garage Band in the 2 years I've had the computer so I'm wondering if there's a link like the one I posted that shows you how to use it for this purpose.

I would just download ring tones from audiko.net....much simpler
Have you tried creating them, especially in Garage Band? It really doesn't get much easier than that. Plus, you can create exactly what you want and don't have to simply choose from what's available.

Has anyone managed to do this running iTunes 10 and iOS4.1 on Windows?

Yes, I've done it many many times. But if you're new, I would suggest the easiest way of going to http://www.audiko.net and doing it that way. Then once you have your ringtone.m4r you merely have to drag it into iTunes. Then tell iTunes to sync the ringtone(s). Then sync.
