Help with app store icon (jail broken)

Hi. Is there a way of preventing the app store icon from showing the actual number of updates? For example I have a jail broken phone and don't want to update some of the apps. Is there a way to cancel any more notifications of updates for that app?

easy pup...i do this to for my pandora skip hack.

you can download update hider from cydia.

or just delete the metadata from /applications/pandora.app/metadata.plist.
