I have a new Apple pencil with my 12" pro and I've looked around for a simple way to put circles and arrows over some of the pictures that are in my camera roll. All of the apps that I've downloaded are complicated with layers etc. and I will learn them, but for right now all I want something that just simply will let me use the pencil to mark up some photos for business. Anybody got any suggestions?

Thank you in advance

It's not specifically got Pencil support, or iPad Pro optimised, but Phototext is simple straightforward and works well letting you annotate quickly and easily.

The advantage to having layers in Procreate is that with the photo in one layer and your marks in another you can erase marks w/o erasing parts of the photo. If you Ho with another app you'll want to make sure it has that feature.

A couple thoughts.

1. iOS 10 (coming out next month I believe) will include Markup for photos and messages. See here.

For simple edits, this should work for you.

2. If you need something immediately, I've been using You Doodle Pro. It will do what you want, but also includes capability to add emojis, borders, etc.

Why not use Skitch? I don't think it explicitly supports the Pencil but it will still work.

I would not use Skitch. Evernote stopped supporting it on Android, iOS and Windows. It's only a matter of time before it (and probably Evernote itself) go away for good.

Skitch lets you add things like arrows, boxes, ellipses etc. which can be very handy and I don't think even iOS 10's markup feature will do that. Would love to see that added though.
