Help with Bad User Profile on iMac

I am convinced my user profile has some sort of error. There are programs I cannot open on that profile but can open on another tested one.

Hopefully someone can help. Is there a way to copy over all of my settings to a new profile or is it as simple as choosing which user library to use in the new profile?

What Mac OS X version do you use?
With what applications do you have problems?
Have you tried repairing permissions via Disk Utility yet?

I am on snow leopard.

I am having issues with Toast, Firefox and a couple others I don't use too much.

I used Disk Utility as well.
