Honestly, I don't know whether BootCamp or Parallels is going to be better for me so I'd like to try them both. But I need help knowing how to install windows.

If I purchase Windows 8 ISO from the microsoft online store here: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store...o-Upgrade-–-Student-Offer/productID.264954100

is this the right product to install on my MacBook Pro for use with bootcamp/parallels? Thanks for your help!

That's an upgrade, you'll need a windows bootable system to use that. You need to purchase the full version of windows, not an upgrade.

Is there somewhere I can buy the full version online and have it download? I don't have a dvd drive in my rMBP and would just like to download an ISO if possible.

Thanks

This is the version you want.

Also, you can run Parallels with a Boot Camp installation. Install Windows via Boot Camp first. Get it up and running, then install Parallels. The only catch is that you would have to re-activate Windows. It might not activation online, but it will work if you use the phone method.
