Hi All,

I am trying to solve a problem for my friend. My old macbook which she nows has, is unable to gain access to the internet, eg cannot load sites, search google etc.
The machine is a Core duo running 10.6.8 2gb

When she tries to get onto google there is a message saying no updates will be issues on this version of chrome due to hardware. But even with opera or safari, it says no data received.

She can sometimes get through to actually do a search but then unable to click on the return search.

I can download email, download software updates, apps from the app store, but nothing in terms of browsing.

Any ideas on this

Ensure that it is getting a DNS server. Try starting a new Location in System Preferences --> Network and reconnecting to the network.
