Help with buying an iMac

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for suggestions on buying an iMac. I currently own Macbook Air, and I write music with LogicPro. I have a vocal booth in the same room so when the fans start to go off, it's a big no no for me.

Any suggestions of which one I should get? Latest model or maybe 2012 model?

What you want is a Mac Mini or Mac Pro outside the room with keyboard, monitor and mouse in the room.

I expect the fans on the iMac will be too loud inside a vocal booth as well.

go for high end 21.5"model, and i think you need the i7 for hyperthreading
