Help with converting to mp4 for my iPod?

Yesterday I downloaded Moyea video converter to convert swf (flash) files to mp4 for my iPod. The converter works fine and the videos come out in excellent quality when I try playing them on my iTunes, but when I put them on my iPod it only played audio and showed a black screen.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Try downloading the free isquint, and convert the flv files with that. Does that solve the problem? I love that program, that is why I paid for VisualHub. Worth every penny. 😀

i would suggest taking that modified mp4, put it into itunes, select it then go to the "advanced" menu up the top, and select "create ipod/iphone version" see if that will do it for you.

or you could use isquint/visual hub or vlc 🙂

Or you can try the new Handbrake release. Before the video source could only be from DVDs, but now it can be anything, file on disk or DVD.

thats a good point!! but that version isnt released yet so you have to go in and find it, (its a tad harder just so everyone knows)

Jodix iPod Video Convertor is also really nice and works great.
I use it for the majority of videos I have in iTunes.

Try Prism www.nchsoftware.com/prism it has preset audio/video encoding for iPods and iPhones.
