Greetings.
Earlier this week i was using my Ipod Touch 4rth gen 32gb when it lock-up and restarted. As i put it in my pocket and went to my next class i noticed when i took it out 20 minutes later it still was in the apple logo boot screen. Holding down power and home button it restarted. Then about 5 minutes later it showed the lock screen but when i tried to log in it was frozen, and after about 30 seconds at that screen it restarts. now it just keeps booting, crasjing and restarting in a cycle. I dont care about the apps on it. I realize i have to restore it but what i do care about is the Photos/Videos on it and the notes. I tried to copy over the photos but as it keeps restarting the ipod keeps mounting and un-mounting on my computer. Can anyone please offer a solution that can get my photos/videos off the device aswell as my notes? Its running IOS 5.1.1.

If i where to update through the itunes application would it keep all my files then after i can go back to ios 5?

You must restore if you were to update a JB device.
