i recently found a 44mm silver aluminum series 4 with cellular for $100 off (around $430 after discount), but I already own a black SS series 3 (40mm). Should I update now or wait til the series 5 come out.
One scenario would be if I wait til series 5 and don't like it then I might miss out on this series 4 deal.
For series 4 Alu owners, how well have your screen hold up? I work in warehouse and I bang my current watch a lot. It has micro scratches on the body, but screen is immaculate.

I have the S4 44mm Gold aluminum and my screen still look brand new. I’ve been using a clear case on my watch and the case has taken a beating but the watch’s screen look brand new.

I would personally wait.

If you like the S4, don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t like the speculated S5. I’d bet any amount the design isn’t changing this year.

I figure if there's no real reason to get the series 5, I should buy the 4 now since a its $100 off.
But my gripe is my series 3 is an SS and the 4 is only the alu. I work in an environment where I bang my watch a lot and the SS screen has no scratches. So I'm afraid the Alu 4 screen won't hold up.

The price will drop when the 5 comes out anyway. What’s the point of buying it now if you are happy with your current watch.

I bit the bullet and bought the aluminum series 4. Sold my SSSB series 3 for almost the amount of my S4 gps only watch.
The screen is unbelievably better in every aspect. I bought a rugged case for it, but it's just too thick for my liking. I'm just going to go naked and not worry about it getting scratched or dings.
Overall no regrets and will not even think about getting the series 5.
