I have my 2014 mac mini (osx Catalina) connected to Samsung 4k tv and getting pink screen on wakeup from sleep. I found the EDID fix on Google and have the script downloaded. However I am confused about where to place it. Some of articles saying it to place in the 'Overrides folder in System/Library folder' and others saying to put it in the 'Library folder in the Users/Home directory' (instead of System directory) and if it is later, do I need to copy it to each individual user account directory? I have two user accounts on mini (only mine is the administrator account).

What script? You run a script anywhere, it should create a display override file, which should be installed in /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-XXXX/

Thanks joevt for the reply. I was going to run the .rb file in terminal. My question was where to put the 'DisplayVendorID-XXXX' file? I saw both 'System/Library' folder and the 'Users/Home/Library' folder in different articles and if it is later, do I need to put in home directory folder for each individual user? I am using osx Catalina and there are two user accounts

/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-XXXX/ from the root directory, not the user directory.

Maybe if you link those articles, I can tell you what it's trying to say or if it's wrong or maybe I'll learn something new.

I read those articles again and I think for Catalina, I should put in the 'System/Library/' as in the previous osx except I need to do it in Recovery partition and for BigSur, it is 'Macintosh HD/Library'
