Hi

I have a MacBook that was bought in 2007. It now runs very slowly and I have been told that a fresh install is worth trying.

However I don't have the original Mac OS disc that came with the computer.

All I have got in terms of software is a "iMac Mac os X install DVD and a key thing than came with my macbook air.

What if anything can i do?

I guess I need a disc with the OS on it.

Alex

The grey install discs that come with Macs are model-specific and will not work on other models. You can order replacement discs for your model by calling Apple (800-767-2775 in the US).
