In an effort to declutter my inbox, I'm trying to archive all of my read emails into gmail's All Mail box, and keep my inbox relatively empty.

This works great when I use the gmail website, but when I use my iphone or Apple Mail's desktop app, it creates a problem when trying to just see a list of emails that were sent to me (rather than a list of emails that were both sent to me and that I sent, since All Mail is both).

Is it possible to create a gmail filter that just shows me messages that I didn't send? This way I can have an IMAP folder that syncs to my iPhone and Mail App that only shows me messages that I didn't send.

I created a filter (FROM: -myemail@gmail.com), but because gmail threads everything it ends up including emails that I sent.

thanks!
