Okay. Starting off the post to say that not all HomeKit apps are created equal.

So far, I've noticed that the Home app is severely lacking
I've had more precise capabilities with Eve and Hesperus.

Hesperus has allowed me to create rules that include "when brightness is less than x%", which I haven't seen in Eve or Home yet, so I'm loving that.

One thing I haven't figured out is to do with Motion Sensors. I can see how to turn a light on when motion is detected, that's easy.

Does anyone know how to set up a HomeKit automation to switch off a light when motion hasn't been detected in the last 5 minutes?

I haven't figured out how to do so in the native Home environment, but I'm using Homebridge running on my Raspberry Pi (was running on my iMac) with a plugin called DelaySwitch. I configure the virtual switches with whatever delays I require and use the delayed switches to control off conditions, or in some cases restart delays, in the Home app.
