Help with iCloud and photos

I’m about to start using iCloud to store my photos from iPhones, iPad and new MacBook Pro.

Is there a way to send all my photos to iCloud and remove them from my phones, iPad and MacBook Pro to save space.

If there is a way please advise. I’m pretty much a novice.
 
There is an option in the settings for Photos on the iPhone and iPad to optimise iPhone/iPad storage. This just downloads and keeps the recent photos on the phone. Same with the Mac
