iMovie seems to be very slow rendering my movie. I'm not sure if I missing something. I have a Late 2012 Mac Mini with an i7 2.3 CPU, I also have 16gb of ram. I have just completed a 27min 720p movie. I exported it to file and selected 720p as the output resolution.
iMovie predicted 54mins to complete. I looked at activity monitor and checked the CPU usage it was showing User 3.10% and System 2.79% so it was over 90% idle.
Is there a way to tell iMovie to use more system resources and render the movie faster ?
I have disabled App Nap but it made no diference.
